Boondock sequel

According to the Geeks of Doom site, Troy Duffy (foolishly self-destructive writer/director of The Boondock Saints) was let out of Hollywood purgatory and now has a sequel to The Boondock Saints in the works–The Boondock Saints: All Saints Day.
I was never a big Boondock fan, but I was kind of excited to hear about the sequel. The Boondock Saints had some decent parts, but I think that overall it was an uneven mix of “over the top” and “this is serious business”.
Do you see above where I said that I WAS excited to see the sequel? That’s right–that excitement has come to a crushing end after I read the following on Wikpedia
“…the sequel has been greenlit by Sony and is set to have the entire cast return with the exception of Willem Dafoe.”
What?
“…with the exception of Willem Dafoe.”
Willem Dafoe was half the fucking movie. I can visual three or so decent parts and three or so of them feature Willem Dafoe. Is someone else going to try and play the Willem Dafoe character? If so, and unless that person is Gary Oldman, the deal’s off, Troy.
